Google Blog Converters 1.0 OpenSource Project Launch

Google today has launched an open source project from its App Engine, with the name Google Blog Converters. This is the their part of contribution towards a motive for controlling the blog data with full rights, as from each blogging service to another one.

Future service updates will include conversion from BlogML and some other services which do not offer conversion of the data. Right now some platforms has been which enable you to convert/transfer your data from following sources

  • Blogger to Moveabletype
  • Moveabletype to Blogger
  • Live Journal to Blogger
  • WordPress to Blogger
  • Blogger to WordPress

Google also invite every one with right skills to contribute to this project.

    This seems nice but it just convert the file format but bad for search engine friendly migration :|

      @Harsh definitely this will need some more development but it could come handy in times when a amateur is stuck up with blog migrating issues. So this will help new bloggers for quite some time.
