Finally rumors are true about the Windows Hotmail Live new feature to let you access your mails via POP3. Althogh this update is somehow now for only a part of the globe including some countries only, later will be rolled out with this feature soon this year.

If you are living in United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Japan, Spain, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands you are lucky to enjoy your mails with POP3. It’s really great now we can use our favorite mailing client to access and send our mails, and all for free.

Settings for Free Hotmail POP3 Access

• POP server: pop3.live.com
• POP SSL required? Yes
• User name: Windows Live ID i.e yourname@hotmail.com or yourname@live.com
• Password: your usual password you use to sign in.
• SMTP server: smtp.live.com
• Authentication required? Yes (this matches your POP username and password)
• TLS/SSL required? Yes
