Facebook Launched New Layout With Pretty New Changes

Facebook has launched new layout design for user profiles. Last month it was reported by many bloggers but it was taken as rumor only. But Facebook has finally rolled out this feature.

Unfortunately these new designs are being rolled out slowly and all not all user profiles are updated with these changes.

Once your profile is updated to new design you will notice this Welcome Note on your profile, updating you about the major changes.

What really it looks like? Here is the first common question we all ask for anything new.

New Feed Update – you can now get updates in two ways Top News and Most Recent. Just in chance you don’t miss anything new or popular at the same time.

What are the changes ? Here is the list of the changes you will notice in the new layout design.

1. New Top Bar – Old bar has been replaced with some minor changes where you can see a more prominent Search Field while Navigation Buttons for your Home, Profile and Account has been aligned right.
2. New Sidebar – it has been completely changed as all the Applications, Chat, Filters are now grouped in sidebar for much faster access.
3. New Notification Area – in old design notification were present at the bottom but in new one you will notification alerts on top bar. Both user actions and friend requests notifications are now available on tops bar beside search.
4. New Chat Area – People available online are now being displayed in sidebar while you can chat with them anytime via a chat window available in the bottom just like the previous one.

Thumbnail View for Images and Video – Both of these updates has been updated to the thumbnail view just like any other video or image hosting site. I would say it is according to the latest trends.

Changes are Welcome but ? New designs of layouts are always welcome but it really depends upon users whether they like these changes or not. Regarding my view I see this new design quite messy and over loaded unlike the previous one but they have done a great job updating Facebook design up to the latest trends.
