How to add Threaded Comments in Thesis Theme

Last month we have introduced some changes to our blog with Thesis Theme . Since then we are busy in adding new features this framework basically supports. Meantime we are also working a dedicated theme for this blog based on Thesis framework.

Just today I noticed something was missing in comment section. On looking closely I found it was threaded comments support. While a little searching I got to know that Thesis supports threaded comments as well.

Enable/Add Threaded Comments in Thesis Theme

As you know Thesis Theme supports threaded comments. To activate this feature on your blog simply check your WordPress settings. WP has a built-in option for threaded comment discussions on any site using WP and theme supporting this feature.

To get it activated simply go to WordPress Settings > Discussions and tick Enable threaded (nested) comments.

Here you go, now comment section will show a REPLY button at the end of each comment posted by your visitors. New comments made via Reply button will be appear as threaded comments.

I also use Thesis and use threaded comments i have it set to just 4 deep i think that’s enough, the good thing about the theme is it’s so customizable you can do almost anything with it.

Great solution. I’ve enabled threaded comments through Thesis 1.7, but my readers are not notified when I reply to their comment through the WP dashboard. Any solutions for this?

In WordPress 3+ now we get Threaded comments enabled by default, and can be extended max. of 10 levels. Wondering if there is any tweak to go beyond that 10 figure, as well.
